About Grace in Motion
Grace in Motion is a nonprofit dance studio located in Warrenton, VA. Grace was founded in 2023 by a group of experienced dance instructors and patrons of the arts who share a unique vision and passion to pursue the instruction of dance in a way that impacts both students and the community as a whole. At Grace in Motion, our mission is to provide a unique, faith-friendly environment where students of all ages and backgrounds can nourish their creativity of body, mind, and spirit through dance and enrich the community by sharing the power and joy of dance as a performing art.
Classes
We offer a wide array of dance classes that will build a strong technical foundation in your aspiring dancer! At Grace In Motion we offer dance classes that parents can trust, modest costumes, clean music, and teachers who have upstanding values.
Ballet
Ballet is the backbone of every dance form. Students will learn grace, gain strength, and develop a level of self-discipline. Ballet Is a wonderful place to start for students who are new to dance and are looking to gain a strong technical foundation.
Ballroom
We offer a fun, safe, and respectful learning environment for teens to thrive. These students learn to lead and follow, have correct posture in dance position, proper technique for lifting and being lifted, and recognize the rhythm and timing for each different style. They also learn self-respect, respect for their dance partners, confidence as they tackle new and different physical tasks, and social skills as they interact with their peers.
Lyrical
Lyrical is an expressive form of dance that incorporates both jazz and ballet. In lyrical, students will learn how to tell a story through movement, move gracefully, master floor work, lifts, and various dance tricks.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop has influences from street dance styles dating back to the 1970s. This is a great option for high energy students! In this upbeat class, students will gain confidence in themselves and learn rhythm, musicality, and sharp movements.
Tap
Tap is a style of dance with theatrical roots where dancers use the heels and toes of their shoes to make audible patterns and rhythms that complement or create their own music. Tap students learn to strengthen their mind/body connection while growing their appreciation for music interpretation.
